Tweets To Show On Yahoo Search & Other Yahoo Products

Yahoo has become the latest company to strike a deal with Twitter. In a deal which was announced yesterday Twitter feeds will now begin to appear in Yahoo search results as well as other Yahoo! products and properties, including the Yahoo! Homepage, Yahoo! Mail, and Yahoo! Sports. (more…)

According to reports from ReadWriteWeb Yahoo is to close MyBlogLog in January after 5 years.

An innovative social networking tool in its time MyBlogLog allowed users create blogging communities with the blogs they write for and own. Members of MyBlogLog were then able to subscribe to these communities and share bookmarks with other members. (more…)

Has Bing’s Honey Moon Period Ended?

Things were looking rosey for Bing over the summer. Since it’s introduction back in May 2009 Bing’s market share saw a steady increase month on month and with it a rise in people’s normally pessimistic expectations of a competitor to Google. META Keywords Tag Is Officially Useless For SEO

The META keywords tag, do we still use them or don’t we? Since Matt Cutts confirmed that Google do not use the keywords tag as part of their algorithm people have still been arguing that other search engines – in particular Yahoo –still are. Bing Rises Further, Yahoo Drops – Business As Usual For Google

In keeping up with our interest in how Bing is performing data collected form Nielsen has shown that Bing has now gained 10% of the market share. The report showed that the total amount of searches on Bing rose to 1.1 billion for August which is an impressive leap of 22.1% over July. This means that Microsoft now have a 10.7% share of the search engine market. (more…)
