Twitter Adds Local Trending Feature
Twitter has improved the relevancy of its trending topics by adding a new feature that allows you to see local trends. The new feature currently allows you to select geographic regions which include a handful of countries including the UK and Ireland and some major cities including London. Twitter states that they are “working on” increasing the locations on offer so eventually we will get a much more comprehensive list. (more…)

8 Reasons Why Twitter Has Run Out of Steam
Recent stats recently published by Compete and Quantcast have shown that for yet another month Twitter’s stats are flat lining. The social site which saw an impressive spike in traffic in the first half of 2008 has since never reached these heights. Twitter Is Where The Youth Are At As Facebook Users Get Older
An interesting study in the US has found that more young people are turning to Twitter as Facebook users are getting older. The research conducted by the Paw Internet & American Life Project found that the average age of Facebook users has jumped seven years from 26 to 33 compared with the average age of Twitter users which was 31.
