Twitter has improved the relevancy of its trending topics by adding a new feature that allows you to see local trends. The new feature currently allows you to select geographic regions which include a handful of countries including the UK and Ireland and some major cities including London. Twitter states that they are “working on” increasing the locations on offer so eventually we will get a much more comprehensive list. (more…)

Google suggest manages to throw up some humorous suggestions and I found this one particularly amusing as well as interesting. Google To Acquire “One or Two” Small Real Estates A Month
Google is reportedly upping its efforts into the real estate market as it plans to “acquire one to two small real estate companies a month’. Sam Sebastian, Google’s director of local and business to business sector denied that Google are planning to buy Trulia – a widely speculated “rumor” - but did mention the fact that Google is looking at options in buying up smaller real estate companies. Recent stats recently published by Compete and Quantcast have shown that for yet another month Twitter’s stats are flat lining. The social site which saw an impressive spike in traffic in the first half of 2008 has since never reached these heights.
