Yahoo To Close MyBlogLog In January

According to reports from ReadWriteWeb Yahoo is to close MyBlogLog in January after 5 years.

An innovative social networking tool in its time MyBlogLog allowed users create blogging communities with the blogs they write for and own. Members of MyBlogLog were then able to subscribe to these communities and share bookmarks with other members. (more…)

Google Create ‘Browser Size’ Tool To Help Your Sites Efficiency

In a bid to improve the efficiency of your website and make the ‘web better for everyone’ Google yesterday announced the release of a new tool into Google Labs that allows you to see how people see your website through different browser sizes. The new tool called simply Browser Size overlays a transparent image over the top of any website you enter and the image displays the percentage of users that can see your content without having to scroll. Google Now Supporting Cross-Domain Canonical Tag

In 2009 we saw the introduction of the canonical tag. Announced by Google back in February the canonical tag was jointly introduced by Google, Yahoo and Microsoft with a sole purpose of providing an easier way of preventing the search engines form indexing duplicate content on a single website. Google’s Fading Homepage Now Live

It has been on the cards for a while but Google have now put their fading homepage live. When users visit the Google homepage they are now greeted with a noticeable minimalist design and users can only see the links that normally adorn the page once they move their mouse. (more…)
