Marketers and web developers alike will be interested in this story. A Good article that divulges a number of statistics based around the psychology of online shoppers and examines and assigns three distinct personalities of online shoppers: ‘Vague’, ‘Cost Conscious’ and ‘Window Shopper’.
Twitter to launch commercial accounts with premium services
With the hype and popularity of Twitter constantly increasing it doesn’t come as a surprise that Twitter would at some point want to take advantage of this and start finding ways to monetize their valuable social platform. The article lays out Twitters plans to start introducing commercial accounts that will provide adopters with detailed analytics tools.
Universal Sweden claims Spotify already generates more cash than iTunes
This week saw a development in the ever growing Spotify music streaming platform with mention that Universal Music noticed that Spotify had generated more revenue for the music giant then that of iTunes. It is worth mentioning that this was discovered within the Music giant’s home market of Sweden, no mention of any other areas just yet but I can’t imagine it will be long until we start hearing rumblings of Spotify beating iTunes in other world markets.
Woofer for ‘when 140-characters is not enough’
An interesting article here about a new blogging service dubbed the ‘anti-twitter’ as it allows users to update the word with a character limit of 1,400 not the feeble 140 characters offered by Twitter. I’m sure in the coming months we will see an ever growing number of articles breaking the news of a newly launched blogging web service using the success of Twitter to aid their own popularity.
Our final article this week is a bit of comedic relief in light of the upcoming bank holiday weekend. There is very little that can be said about this article, it is a more ‘see it to believe it’ update.
